HUMAN RIGHTS                       Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

Local Schools $$$,$$$,$$$ NOW

How do the schools of Kirkwood Missouri look in perspective of the "Dignity in Schools Campaign, National Conference, held at Northwestern University School of Law, June 5-6, 2009? Kirkwood schools did not send a representative to see! Some community problem solutions studied in this national conference may help our Kirkwood community, our neighborhoods, our city government, our police department, our religious community, our schools, our teachers, our students, our young people, ..., i.e. all of Kirkwood Missouri!

Did You Know That:
Diversity education is ongoing in several Kirkwood schools. The growing Civil Rights Team has changed the human rights depth of interaction at several levels. Teamwork is facilitated by Educational Equity Consultants. Now a large number of student and teacher support "Civil Rights Team" players from their years of participation and expansive growth. A community reading program is wonderful to have in Kirkwood!

HOWEVER:

Some individuals from Kirkwood Missouri feel that Kirkwood schools fail to have a number of teachers and administrators in proportion to the number in groups of students attending.

Others, including parents, find that the Kirkwood school's grand ideal of teaching to each and every student at that student's level falls short of having curriculum materials sent home to study each day for every student at their level to back up such a grand ideal. As Such:

Many KIRKWOOD students do not have text books to study academic material!

A Kirkwood school system failed to bring a new head administrator into the education system in 2009 that belongs to a minority background. Other larger public schools in Kirkwood have had head administrators from several minority backgrounds by 2009.

Some students find the Kirkwood schools fixed on teaching little on human rights and human dignity of all groups of Americans. Many find Kirkwood Missouri fixed on a continuation of the early American RR town it has been for many, many, ... years.

Let us act on a Kirkwood Human Rights framework.
