WORK SESSION
.
Council Person Yuan: He (Bennett) feels that since he was on the Advisory Committee for the Mediation Agreement he should be more involved. At the last {HRC 6/8/10} meeting he wanted to sit at the table as an ex-officio member. He has done a lot for the Human Rights Commission and has helped bring sides together. ...
Mayor McDonnell: ... Rev. Bennett doesn’t live in Kirkwood.
.
PUBLIC COMMENTS ...
.
Ben Martin: Would like to request information about the progress on the Mediation Agreement.
Mayor: We will share some of this information later in the meeting. {See Below}
Martin: Also asks about Kirkwood’s rating of racial traffic stops that was recently published and has other questions about the Mediation Agreement.
.
CITY COUNCIL REPORTS ...
.
Mayor McDonnell: Ben Martin’s questions: There will be some legislation on the July 1st meeting. The Human Rights Commission has new members and will elect officers.
.
Council Person Ward: Points out that violence is still here in Kirkwood. There was a recent stabbing in Meacham Park involving two individuals who had a long-standing issue between them.
